The journey so far- Enveloped in God’s favour

Psalms 103:10 KJV
[10] “He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities”

It has been 2 months since I left my job and I must say, I love what God has been doing in the last 60 odd days. It has been the best decision of my life so far and second only to accepting Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I have no words to describe how spectacular God has been in this season.

Obedience not favour.

When I first announced my decision to leave my job, I was blessed by the love and support that poured in from all over the world.

I received calls, texts and social media messages encouraging me to do the will of the Father.

A few messages, although they meant well, made me feel a little out of place, because it sounded like I was making some sacrifice for the Lord.

This didn’t sit well with me. The fact is, obedience benefits me. I’m not doing God any favours by obeying Him.

I don’t have to serve God, I get to serve God. It’s an honor not a burden.

Just like birds were made to fly, fish to swim and I was born to love God and serve His purpose.

It is not a sacrifice, it is pure pleasure to serve Him who always has my best interest in mind.

Let’s talk money.

The biggest concern my family and friends had with my decision was about money. How will you sustain yourself? What about the expenses?

Here is what I have to say about it:

When we are in the purpose of God, God always provides. Period! Safety, security and comfort are not in a monthly pay cheque, it’s in the arms of Jesus.

Our safety and comfort do not lie in our jobs or our salaries, we are safe and secure in the presence of Jesus. He is our greatest life insurance. I have not lacked and I will not lack.

How can I lack, when I belong to a superior economy?

Someday, I will write about all the incredible financial miracles I have witnessed in the last 2 months.

I trust my thoughts in this post have blessed your soul and mind.

If you are new to our blog, why don’t you take a moment and subscribe to it.

I solicit your prayers for my meetings in the month of May and June.
